Anyone have one of these Honor Guard semi auto guns? Made in America, all in 9mm, but there are like 4 different models, but I think they all cater to conceal carry. Has anyone shot one?

I had never heard of them before. There is an American Rifleman article about them here:

I have to say, for guns named "Honor Guard", I am disappointed they are not bright chrome plated as standard. They should also come with white patent-leather holsters. :)

PS - The manufacturer lists "Custom “FIST” (Firearm with Integrated Standoff) frame version" as an option. If that is what it sounds like, wouldn't they have been better off mounting a bayonet?

For the foreseeable future, I think I'll just stick with Glock and Ruger and let other beta testers work out the [inevitable?] first production run bugs.

I saw a glowing review of these guns, haven't seen one in the wild yet. I'd like to see how these stack up against some of the other single stack 9s.

I just recently read a review on these also. They do look interesting, but I'll stick with my G26. But I am still curious how they do. I don't imagine it could be any worse than Remington's R51.

First I have heard of them or the manufacturer. The overall design and profile kind of remind me of a S&W Shield. Decent price point but definitely something I would wait on til some real world experiences get posted.

I contacted them via email and they responded immediately.
I was curious about the chamber support. They took photos and sent them to me.
Basically very similar to a Glock or S&W on how the chamber is designed.

My question is why extend the frame for additional "standoff" protection rather than simply manufacturing an extended guide rod like the XD Service? It'd be considerably less intrusive.

I wish they would minimize the roll marks a little and I think it would be an attractive firearm. The extended frame version just doesn't look right to me - I would agree that they should just extend the frame. As it is, it looks like a pistol with mismatched parts. I do however want to shoot one of the standard models.

I love that they're all American. Interesting little pistol that I hope is a good one on account of the company, but like others I will wait and see.

The safety looks too small to be useful. Kind of like the safety on the Shield.

Other than that I think it looks good. Hopefully the quality won't be a disappointment. The world has enough Highpoints.

When I looked at the pics it appears this is to S&W what Saturn was to GM. I wold venture to guess that behind the scenes both are bankrolled by the same people.
