I was loading some Hornady pickup brass last night and noticed right away that my COL was off. Upon inspection, the 357 mag brass measured 1.250" instead of the typical 1.280" minimum trim length. I know that it's common to trim 357 mag brass shorter after it splits to extend case life for light loads, but the brass did not appear to be trimmed. It didn't affect my loads since I loaded them to 38spl velocities, but has anyone else experienced this?
