Hornady 44 cal bullet?

Why are Hornady 44 cal copper jacketed pistol bullets .430 and not .429 like all the other brands? My local gun store is sold out of all 44 bullets, except Hornady. I was wondering if it was something to due with the odd size...

.429" to .430" are fine. Sierra's are .4295" Bigger is better, i guess. Maybe an expert will answer, then we will both know.

They are bigger, just because!

Actually, they do fit the cylinder throats better on a loose gun which always results in better accuracy.

.001" will have no measurable effect on pressure.

It's very hard to beat Hornady XTP bullets in any caliber.
