Well, I finally broke out my Christmas gift from my wife last night. It comes very well packed and sturdy. First impression...sweeeeeeet!

I decided I was going to load some of my .308 match ammo. My powder I use is IMR4895.

My normal due to my back and knees, is to prime one night normally 100 cases, then next night put powder and bullet in 50 and then next night put powder and bullet in the last 50. I did it this way, because up until now, I hand weighed everything. That's just how I liked to do it.

Last night though, I was able to do all 100 rounds. While I was priming, I plugged the powder dispenser in and turned it on in order for it to warm up while I was priming.

After I got done priming, came the calibration. Super easy to do, and fairly quick. It comes with a 10g and a 50g calibration weights.

The speed for the dispense came preset on normal. There's three speeds, slow, normal and fast. I decided to let it be for the time being just to check it out. Out of first 10 dispenses, one was over .2 grains, but this was enough to set the alarm off. So I tossed it back in and decided to tweak the trickle settings a bit.

I set it to start trickling 1gr from target weight. Out of the next 90, I had maybe 5 overcharges, where it threw 44.7grs instead of 44.5. Out of the 100 completed rounds, around 10 were charged to 44.6, the other 90 though, right on the dot at 44.5. Machine has a +/- 1 tolerance.

Once I was done charging I broke out the paintbrush that comes with it, and cleaned out all the powder. Super easy to clean!

This thing has and will make my reloading easier and faster than hand weighing everything. In my book, this was a GREAT buy! You will not be wasting your money if you buy this.

Total time to get everything out, prime (hand prime), powder, seat bullets, clean up, put everything away and sit back down: 2 hours. If I had been out in the garage but my press, it would had gone quicker by at least 30 minutes but it was just too cold in the garage last night. Lol. During summer, I'll be able to seat bullets as the next charge is getting dispensed.

Don't know how this compares to the RCBS, but as far as this one goes, it's a 10, and a great buy!

YOU SLIME!

My wife confiscated mine for a Christmas present and you found it from one of my Threads!

As I remember!

Thank you TG Tiger. Since you posted this, I was finally able to find a Hornady Auto Charge at a good price for my wife to get me for Christmas.

The key word here is Christmas! But now you know all about it from using it.

SEE, IT'S NOT CHRISTMAS YET.

I'm just funning with you, I'm actually glad you put this post on here so I know what to expect out of mine.

ENJOY YOUR EARLY CHRISTMAS PRESENT!

LOL :D

Yes I did, and thank you for finding a good price. Actually, it was my wife that wanted hers first, but I told her she couldn't have hers unless I got mine also. Lol.

GOOD MOVE!

Done that many times myself but my wife got the upper hand on me this time. Probably because I was holding her hostage on what I bought her, and she knows what it is. (And really wants it).

Hmmmm!

I think I'm slipping a little.

Make sure to spray it down with that anti static spray ( I think mine is for clothing). Powder just falls right out when I empty it when I'm done.

Make sure to ask for a McDonalds straw as a stocking stuffer too.

Yeah I noticed the static thing last night when I was pouring the powder in.

Mcdonalds straw?
