Hornady Comparator Insert Question

Does anybody here use the Hornady comparators? I bought an insert, I thought I bought one for 223...it is marked 3-24. I bought an insert for 243 Win and it is marked 3-24. Did I just buy the same insert again do 224 and 243 use the same one? Thanks.

Mine are old Stoney Point insets from 15 yr ago but they should be marked similar. Mine say .22, .24, ,25, ect. I`d say you have 2 of the same insert.

Easy way to tell, take your caliper and measure the hole. The 22 cal should run ~ .223" the 243 about .235-240".

Hmm, I don't really want to break open the package to measure...I can still sell it off as new if I got the wrong one.

You have two of the same.

You need the 2-22 (aka LNL 222) for the .223
