Just got a single stage LNL press

First step is attaching it to my bench
I'm looking to be able attach but also easily remove.

What do you use??
Should I not worry about ease of removal. Space is tight but not too tight

What size bolts did you use

Thanks dudes

Two things come to mind.

1) Attach it with screws instead of bolts if the bench is wood, easier to remove and replace. Size of screw as large as possible to fit through holes in the press.

2) Measure the mounting hole with your calipers and buy the next smallest bolt. Fairly simple to remove the bolts.

The instruction manual should say what size bolts to use, my LNL AP states 5/16 bolts. I would imagine the same size would work for your single stage?

I mounted mine to a 2x6 using a 3/8 bolt, 2 fender washers, and a nut. Then I screwed 2 scrap pieces of plywood to the outside of the 2x6 to provide clearance for the bolt heads. I c-clamp all of that to my table or countertop to give a solid platform. It works pretty well, and if I want to take the press to a buddys house or even to the range with me it takes less than a min to dismount.

*Correction: actually I used 4 fender washers, one on top and bottom of each bolt. Also, while 3/8 bolts worked, there is room to go a size or 2 larger.

If you want to remove and replace the press, mount it with through bolts. If you use screws, you will strip out the holes after a while and it won't hold any more.

Even if it was to be mounted permanent, I would still use bolts.

Put fender washers on the under side so that the bolts do not compress the wood any more than necessary. Otherwise, the press will loosen over time.

3/8" would work fine strength wise. Use what is close to the diameter of the mounting holes in the press. If you use smaller, make sure you are using large enough washers to span the hole and support the bolt off the body of the press.

3/8" bolts with fender washers ... the left side washer will need to be bent a little for clearance.

Why anyone would recommend screws escapes me ... I have 2 L'n'Ls and a single stage all bolted down and moved now and then to a secondary position - bolts make it easy with no loss of strength or stability.

I used 1/2" bolts, normal flat washers on top, fender washers, lock washers and standard nut on the bottom. Mounted through a 1" piece of MDF (to raise the press so ram/handle clears toolbox under bench) which is screwed to the 3/4" ply benchtop. Solid as hell with the bench mounted to the wall. Don't use screws as they will strip out, and I think T-nuts would be unreliable as well. It takes me more time to get the toolbox out from under the bench than it does to get the press unmounted. (It's a big toolbox, and a tight fit.) I also have the primer feeder mounted now. Seems to work pretty good so far.

I'm thinking of a way to mount my Co-Ax and remove it easily as well. I was thinking of using bolts coming through the bottom with wing nuts on the top. Not sure if there's enough room for the wing nuts on the top but I'll post back if I find some that works.

I have the same press and I just use a couple C-clamps. they work well and allow me to put my press away rather quick. I also do not have any hole in my bench after it comes off which is another plus. Bar clamps would work also/

I've used 2 pieces of boards (plywood) glued and screwed together 1' wide and 4' long for a temp mount. I just clamp it on to the kitchen table and go.

The T bolts do work, been doing it for 30+ years that way. As long as you have solid wood it work.

The MDF is not a good choice of wood to use. It will break down and crumble.
