Has anyone here used this? What did you think of it? I read an article awhile ago that made it sound like it was a great HD round and I found myself thinking: "Hmmm, interesting but I'm not sold, bet it still overpenetrates and has a unique POI compared with more typical bullet weights." I have home defense covered anyway but the article did intrigue me. What are your experiences?

I know a guy that coyote hunts with it and he loves it. Drops the coyotes with authority and flat shooting out to 300 yards or so.

I have handloaded the 110 grain Hornady bullet, and shot it in my G3 clone just to see how it would work out? In a gasser it might work better than it did in the PTR91. It did cycle the action, but it lacked enthusiasm. When I upped to the 125 grain bullet things improved.

My prairie dog shooting buddy has used it. He returned to his 223 immediately, mostly I think because he didn't like the muzzle blast and heat it generated. I do not know whether it was accurate or what sort of terminal effect it had.

I shot a bunch of 155 grain Hornady Amax's at prairie dogs and it was startlingly accurate, though it didn't have the spectacular "helicopter" effect when it connected that the 223 with the Vmax's did. They just sort of broke in half.
