Wife is out of town so......., to stay out of trouble;
Here are some photos you may like to use as desktop and such.

Suggestions are welcome, i.e. "take up another hobby", "please don't post that junk here", "I had a camera like that until I got a job". You know, the usual stuff from you guys and gals. :p

Is that blood dripping off the back strap in the first photo?

If I don't get this place cleaned up before she gets home, there will be blood everywhere. Actually it is some backlighting. Flashlight with Glad Wrap over the end.

Photoshop filters (in my horribly snobbish opinion) are the boring, easy way out--true genius is diplayed through creative arrangement and lighting.

I love the 3rd and 4th photos. :) The 4th one, while being mostly warm, is balanced by the striking (in a good way) blue. Also, there's far less glare on the most important object, the USP.

#4 is now my desktop. Hope you don't mind...

Dionysusigma,

Maybe these will be more to your liking.

IMG 1164 is one of my favorites.

I didn't mean to sound like an a**h*le in my previous post... :uhoh:

As to IMG_1164, are you sure you didn't cut-and-paste an Hk advert? :scrutiny: Just kiddin'. Beautiful work. :)

Oh, no offense taken, at all! I agree about Photoshop filters. I guess it is the little kid in me that likes the looks.

No, no cut a pasting going on here. Not that good. You suppose HK would be interested in the Photo? Naw, not a chance.

That is my weapon, sitting on top of a TV with the front resting on polished quartz. The ammo is Taurus Hex bullet. Used two light sources.

Thank you for the compliment, Sir.

Why?

Unless he bought the USP illegally, the serial number has already been called in to NICS et al. If anyone tried to say that it was stolen, a brief investigation would reveal that all the paperwork is in his rightful name and not in that of the accuser's. That's why a copy of the 4473 is kept on file at the FFL he purchased it from.

Photoshop filters or not it looks like Art to me.

And as Art it will have a different appeal to each observer.

I think they're kinda cool. Besides we all started somewhere.

And I have never been ashamed of my guns's serial numbers.
I bought them all legally.
[flamesuit=on]Every time I see a number blanked out or written as xxxxxxxxxx I wonder if the owner is trying to hid something or just paranoid.[/flamesuit]

I don't cover the numbers when I go to the range.
The gun magazines don't cover them up.
I think it's much ado about nothing.

However if some came along with a valid police report, dated prior to my purchase, stating that that gun had legally been theirs and had been stolen I would be more than happy to assist in the reunion.

I've never had one of my guns stolen but I have lost a few musical instruments. I know the pain.
