Since were running a special on Horror Flicks with the Brit twist. Anyone see Bad Taste. This is an alltime cult classic, and a must see. Set in NewZealand, it is focused on a special op's group called "the Boy's". Their mission is to save the world, and the Qeen Mum, from human eating aliens. It's a goofy but great flick done by none other than the director of the Lord of the Ring's Trilogy, Peter ...? Weapons used: An UZI,Sterling subgun's, A S&W M-29 .44 mag, A rocket launcher, a chainsaw,; the BG's use Ak-47's and a walther pp. Favorite scenes include: One of "the boy's" uses a bayonet to convince an alien to talk, by driving it into his tennie with a hammer; Aliens drink green vomitt, and other delight's. RENT IT NOW PARTY-Boy's, buy a big-boy of Fosters to go along. Keeter:D

have you seen peter jackson's other work? check out "Dead Alive" guy fights off a zombie horde with a lawnmower

OOOOOH YEA, I just did'nt mention it cause No gunplay, well very little; a sterling smg at the very begining. But AWSOME MOVIE, a riot. I especially liked the ex-nazi veternarian. And the Priest "I kick @ss for the Lord". The lawnmower sequence had to be the bloodiest shot ever filmed. Another must see. By the way there are two versions, one the most common, has been edited:barf: You have to find the full deal to appreciate.:D

Every gun that you see in Bad Taste was hand made by Peter Jackson. They are all props, and all of them were done by him in the basement. Pretty cool.

Also, in his movie Meet the Feebles (think of an NC-17 rated Muppet Show), at the end one character goes nuts and starts mowing everybody down with (if I recall correctly) an M-60. Supposedly, they couldn't get blanks for the gun so they shot the thing with live ammo. Since they were only shooting puppets, it was possible to do.

"I'm a Derrick. Derricks don't die!"

The absolute best scene is when the good guy shots an RPG at the alien, who ducks. The round passes over the bug's head and hits a sheep.

We replayed that scene over and over. ;)

I've seen both. Both are hilarious. Dead Alive is a bit better though.

I kick a$$ for the Lord, indeed. :D

How about the scenes with the baby.

Chris

Seen Dead Alive several times but not the other... thanks for the tip! I'll have to get that for a movie night with the guys sometime. :D
