How about the AKMS Polish Underfolder AK?

Alright, I've looked at AK-47s until I am blue in the face. Anyone here have any experience or opinions on the AKMS Polish Ak-47? http://www.atlanticfirearms.com/storeproduct933.aspx It looks better than some of the Centuries I have seen, but after all that I've looked at, I could be wrong. I really wanted to find a Yugoslavian, but the area gun shops said it's almost impossible to get them now. Anyway, thanks for the help, and maybe we can keep the SHTF talks out of this thread.

Underfolders look really, really cool.

They suck if you're actually going to shoot the rifle. Bad cheek weld, uncomfortable, and they are either wobbly or will become wobbly.

I swear the Sov copied the worst folding stock when they ripped off the MP38 folder from the Germans.

I'd much rather have a fixed stock or the AK100 type left side folder.

The MP-38 stock was comfortable enough because the gun had basically no recoil, kind of like the MP-5's retractable stock (works great, but as said, even on full auto there is no noticeable recoil). The AK with its recoil however is not as great of a host for that kind of a stock. You CAN wrap it in fabric or paracord and make it better, but it still won't be great.

They do look nice though
