How appropriate is this?

Picked up a Victory Model on GunsAmerica. Shipped to Great Britain in Jan. 1945 it also bears German police stamps. Some of these were transferred to civilian PDs in post war Germany. Stamped POL.OLD. for Oldendorf Police.

Oldendorf is in Saxony.





PS: It came with the correct smooth stocks but I like these early post war Magnas much better.

Are you certain that it is not Oldenburg in Niedersachsen???? Saxony was behind the iron curtain until 1990 and the British would hardly have sent guns to the GDR.

Someone told me the OLD was for Oldendorf like he knew. You may be right. But if you are then I don't get a funny story out of it, now do I?

Yes you still get the funny story, Niedersachsen is Lower Saxony. It still fits in, don't worry. Even though it is called Lower Saxony, they are real Saxons.
