How are your firearms stored? Gun safe/rack/display?

My own method involves individual Pelican Cases. I like the fact that they are ready to move out securely with magazines and accessories in a moment's notice.:D

I know a fellow that bought an existing business building and remodeled before he moved his business into it.

TWO walk in vaults and two hidden vaults were built first . I mean top-notch professional jobs with all the letters, number and ratings.

Unless you know, you do not have a clue these vaults exist in this structure, much less what is in them.
One walk in vault is "sub-divided" and that is where he piddles, cleans and does some minor gun smithing.

The rest of the building was remodeled of course. Very few persons know this person even knows what a firearm is, much less has what he does.

For example: 200 Colt 1911s, "over there" another 200 1911s by other mfgs.
Name a model 12 shotgun - he had multiples. [ I mean I only want one of his ___ or so Model 12s in 28 ga ]
Name a model 70, he probably has it, and more than one.

Sometimes he invites folks like me to come visit and piddle, food brought in while we visit and all.

Upstairs, he added two apartments if you will. They too have professional grade safes , for guests to stay and keep valuables in. :)

Funny is hearing him tell his brothers "Look we are talking and piddling with Winchester shotguns tonight, some other night we will carry on about machine guns".

Topic gets back to the Winchester shotguns....:p

"Steve, put down that Model 12 in 28 ga, you have that look again and I am betting you cannot get out of here with it" :D

I made one back in my college days.

Full length inletted piano hinges, marine plywood, and real 2x4's from an old garage I demolished. I went overboard with the woodscrews. Everything was connected using liquid nails and sections of galvanized tin flashing inside at the main junctions for extra reinforcement.

Interior was finished in fake deer and bear fur. Real deer hooves and antler as hangers. Prettied up the exterior with a torch burning opposed buck head silhouettes on the upper cabinet and a huge eagle on the bottom using wet cardboard as a template. It was nice for the price. Most of the materials were already in my garage left over from other projects. The hinges and a pair of keyed locks were the only real out of pocket costs. Maybe $20?

The upper compartment was for pistols and knives. The top door opened downwards making for a decent work surface. Lower compartment was for long guns and ammo. Two people couldn't move it loaded but a circular saw would have been a great key.

Most of my guns are locked in a gun safe. Two are "sort of" on display in my little room in the basement where I keep my toys and hide from the world. One is loaded in a pushbutton gun safe under the bed.
