I got an email from my gun club asking me to write my congressman regarding H.R. 45. I figured i'd get a thanks for knowing who i am email or something like that, this is what i got in the mail about a week later:

Not bad, but he doesn't say he won't support it. He just states he "will keep your thoughts and concerns in mind." It sounds like an "out" to me.

"Jumbo, I agree + will vote no
Thanks"

Actually, he is worse than useless.

The text does not convey his position clearly. He does nothing more than summarize the intent of the proposed legislation, without any indication on where he stands on the issue.
This is a form letter that he can to send to people on both sides. "I will keep your position in mind" is a non-commital statement.
He can just as easily be hand-writing in "I will vote yes" as he replies to people on the other side.

My Congressman does not equivocate in his letters; I know exactly where he stands (because he is not afraid to say so), and I appreciate it.

Demand more, or you will receive less.

yea, the handwritten part kinda completely makes his position obvious...

lol i sent in a letter (email) to DoJ about the sheriff from i think ariopoca county or such months ago, and have gotten no response...
