I get .15/rd.
I got about 6,000 very clean + pulled ss109 @ 180/3000 so, 360/6000.
Varget, 16.00/lb, I buy 10lbs so, 160.00 (25gr per, so that's about 280 loads, $15/280)
Primers, 26.00/1k
brass- free
Lets see..
360/6000 = .06
16/280 = .06
26/1000 = .03 (rounded up)
That works out to .15 a round..
I could get it cheaper if I dropped the load # a bit to 23.5 this works for me as well out of my rifle. I'd get about 18 more loads out of it but that is like what, a negible difference in the grand scheme of things.. Also if I bought wolf primers at 90/5k then it'd drop even further, same if I went with 55gr fmj's, unfortunately my rifle hates 'em.
Sorry for the long winded post but in short, local shops that are good in the business rocks, and RELOADING ROCKS!!! Bah @ buying factory rounds $400 for 1000 *shudder* First 1k reloaded, you save the cost of the equipment and then some..!
