Stoeger Coach Gun. I've searched the net, and can't even find a owners manual!!! From removing the forearm, barrels, stock etc... Can someone help? This is my first SxS.
Thanks in advance.
ps: got the forearm off. still wondering about barrels and stock...
Duh..barrels lift right off. Nevermind.

Take the butt plate off and there is a hole under it with a bolt or screw down inside of it.

Remove that bolt/screw and the stock will come off. There may also be a screw through the trigger guard into the stock, you will have to remove it.

Be careful to pull it straight back or you will break it.

To be honest, if you had this much trouble taking off the forend and bbls, you should not monkey around with taking the stock off.

I see your point, but I'm no "Bubba." If I don't know, I ask instead of forcing something. The right FP on this thing sticks forward after firing. I talked to Benelli, and they explained things. Action is out. I see that there must be a burr in the FP channel (what horrendous machining there). I've been working it by compressing the FP and spring with the plastic cap of a pen, and it still wants to hang, but is alot better. Just hoping I can smooth the rough area a little, so the gun will be functional. I wish I could get a fine needle file in there to help a bit, but need the proper tools to disassemble the FP. Trying to save a trip to Benelli. They offered to take a peek. CS seems pretty darn good there.

Great QC, ain't it??

I saw on another site a member's slogan: "Even an economy gun should work as advertised."

Stoeger buys these gun by the thousands every month. They work most of the time but IMHO, they should all be test fired at a minimum.

I'm going to add to this post in case someone does a search and gets a negative take on it. I bought a couple of snap caps. The FP retracts 100% of the time. I also had it at the range for some informal shooting and it performed in a totally reliable manner with 8's or 00 buck. I have better SG's for sure, but it has something about it, so it will stay around. :)

You have something good to say about Benelli customer service !? Write that down.
I bought a Stoeger Uplander 20 for CAS and carried it around the farm some to get familiar with it, and I was pretty surprised at how well it handled and shot. Did well on doves and quail.

I recently purchased a stoeger coach gun and was very disappointed with the quality. It was purchased through an internet company since none of the local dealers would stock it. Not only were the trigger pulls way too heavy, but it did not shoot to the point of aim. The left barrel shot high and to the left and the right barrel shot high and to the right. They were off by six inches at ten yards! After two tries I was not able to talk to customer service. They immediately place you on hold until 5:00 and then give you a message to call back during normal working hours. Considering the fact that not much could have been done about the point of impact any way, I traded the gun to a dealer at a loss and considered it a valuable lesson.
