I carry a 642 in deep concealment at work, (I work for anti's) but have not found an easy way to carry reloads. Is there a way to carry extra .38 rounds that is easy to hide? I usually carry in a smartcarry holster or in front jeans pocket.

Bianchi Speed Strips hold 6 rounds in a nice, flat package, that can either fit in an unobtrusive "ammo wallet" on your belt, or in a pocket.

I bought some of the speed strips, but thought they wound not stay on the strip if in my pocket. Do they?

I should have added that I wear a tucked in shirt, so the speed loader holder would be hard top conceal. but thanks anyway

Have you thought about wearing a little pouch around your neck?

Less jostling for a speed strip there than in a pocket.

Or maybe something like a cigarette holder. Hardsided sits in your pocket and can be opened with one hand. If it falls out no one will know what is in there.

The speed strips will hold the rounds securely even in your pocket. At least they have always done so for me.

The speed strips are pretty secure. I've put more than one through the wash without losing a round. I've probably got two dozen speedstrips lying around, they are pretty handy.

They are not very fast but they do their job. As Ken Hackathorn once said, "the man who carries a J frame and a reload is an optimist"

5 shots or 6, a speedloader is big and obtrusive.

Rather than carry a pouch on my belt, I just throw the spare in a coat pocket... just makew sure NOTHING else (gum wrappers etc) ends up iun the pocket.

Super Trucker,

Doesn’t your smartcarry have the xtra pocket on it for a speedloader? That’s where I carry my reloads.

Yes it has a pocket I tried to put the speed strips in it and they feel out, I have not however tried a speedloader.

If you can conceal a snubby in one pocket, why not a speedloader in the other?
Can it go in the pocket with my keys and change? I thought it had to be seperate.(but thinking is not one of my high points though)

It could go in with keys and change. Better by itself, though. Move keys/change to another pocket. Or put the keys on your belt and toss the change.

I hate to jingle when I walk....

I usually have my j-frame in my left front pocket, a speedloader with a speedstrip next to it in my right front pocket, and my p-32 in a backright pocket. I used to just do the speedloader, but it fell all over the place, then I tried the speedstrip by itself but wasnt crazy about the reload time, and now I do both at once. It works rather well. I would like to get a moonclipped gun, and perhaps try some moonslips in the pocket. It looks like 2 can nestle together, and you could carry four at a time.
