Got my Fox Labs in today and the cans (2 oz) are a little shorter and fatter than I imagined. The girlfriend shouldn't have a problem wioth hers just drop it in the purse but I'm kinda torn on what I should do. Kinda bulky for my pocket but I'd feel like a mall ninja with a belt pouch.

How do you guys carry? Should I have gotten the keychain size?

I carry a small unit (I guess it's the next size larger than a keychain model) in a black nylon belt pouch. I've never been aware that anyone has even noticed it. People are so accustomed to "stuff" on belts these days -- Leatherman tools, cell phones, folding knives, etc. -- that it just doesn't raise any flags at all.

I carry on my weak side. (non-lethal on the L, lethal on the R) OC usually left front pocket.
I usually carry the hardcase keychain size but I keep a 2oz over the visor in the vehicle. Incidently, the only time I ever needed and used the OC it was the one over the visor.
Nice day, window down, stopped for traffic at stop sign and a suddenly some guy is standing on my running board, one hand on the outside drivers rearview and the other reaching in for keys or shifter or something. The suddenly there was a mist in the air, mostly in his face. He was rolling on the street when I pulled away but it was close enough that I took some too. Drove 2 blocks to a safer area and composed myself. man that stuff is hot!
I guess I'm saying: get a couple keychainers, you still might find a use for the 2oz cans.

dont leave it in your car mine exploded and when i got in it started to burn :what:

when i got in my truck i looked at my ceiling and saw this streak and then my canister on the floor and the top on my seat and i couldnt put 2and2 together until i started to feel my eyes burn then i realized what happened and got out before i got exposed too much.

i dont know how hot it gets where people are but in so cal it gets pretty hot in a car.

i believe i heard somebody mention a kind of OC that was designed to handle high heat situations, i cant remember any specifics though...

I have an ASP Key Defender in an outside pocket of my 'man purse'/shoulder bag (Eagle Creek). If I can reach the bag, I can reach the OC, works for me.

stealthmode,
Thanks for the heads up. I'm going to have to take mine out of my car when summer arrives. Did not even think about the heat facter.

I carry one of these <http://www.pepper-spray-store.com/products/pocketclip-15.shtml> in my jacket pocket.

I kept a small one in my front Levi's pocket for a while. Right up till the day it leaked. That'll sting, especialy since you can't just drop trou and ditch your pants in the middle of the workday.

On my duty belt :neener:
When not at work I carry the pocket clip version of my MKIV OC spray in my support side hip pocket.

My OC-solution. (Arminius HW88 Super Airweight)

(I carry it in an IWB-holster)

OC sure.

ASP defender BUT get the Large model the small unit dosent cut it! They do make OC for vehicle/Heat issues, it only comes in stream, no fogger etc. :). there ya go.
Loandr.

FYI- when it comes to OC I recommend FOX LABS all the wayyyy.
