How do you kill zombies, anyway?

It depends on the Zombie. Traditional zombies (ie Night of the Living Dead types) can be killed with a baseball bat, axe or handgun ("Wondernines" work well). In a traditional zombie mob action, a shotgun loaded with buckshot works fine. All shots MUST BE headshots.

Newer zombie types are faster and more limber than the traditional zombie. I would use a hand grenade or a heavy machine gun. A Daisy Cutter bomb may be indicated for the hoarde attack.

You know all things considered we gun owners really need a sense of humor and sense of fun. I own and shoot certain guns for no other reason to "Play cowboy" or "Play James Bond" Guns are not toys and should not be taken lightly but let's face facts the great majority of us own and shoot firearms for pleasure and as long as that is done responsibly then I say have at it. The world would be a better place is more folks saw us as fun, relatively normal, folks who want to put down zombies, paper, soda can revolutions, and clay alien invasions instead of folks who are ready to kill at the least provocation.

Personally I am all for the latter. As if somebody crosses me like my job laying me off I am well into the get drunk fall down camp and way the hell far away from the hurt anybody camp, guns or not.

Back on subject I am more for the garbage truck, dump truck, big arse vehicle run them down kind of guy myself. The small arms are only for dismounting and gathering gas or food as far as I am concerned. :D
 
What??? Sheesh... Any self respecting gun owner knows how to kill zombies. In this forum I think there are probably more posts on the ways to whollop on zombies than argue about 9mm vs. .45.

The fact is any ONE of us would play hell on a zombie invasion. Get a group of us together and a couple of cases a beer, well frankly the Zombie's don't stand a chance. :D
 
My preferred method is Telekinesis and large amounts of fire. When in close range combat, a chainsaw.
 
What the heck? I thought "zombie" threads were persona-non-grata on THR? Did I miss a memo or something? Maybe I'm thinking of another site.

Anyway, the best way to kill zombies is to borrow my mother-in-law and lock her in a room with them. After a few days the zombies will hang themselves.
 
My favorite thing about the constant zombie fantasy threads is that, like the invasion of the US fantasy threads, the rebellion against the government fantasy threads, and the SHTF survivalist fantasy thread, they help dismiss the stereotypes that gun owners can't help but daydream about scenarios where they get to use their guns to become the hero of the day by shooting lots and lots of things.

Fortunately, they only show up around Halloween and aren't posted every other week.
