How do you rate the Colt Pocketlite .380 as a pocket pistol?

I really like what I have been reading about this little gun, I have been researching for a pocket pistol for purchase in next few months. Just curious if there are any opinions at THR on this little shooter?

Much better than your fists, IMO. The 380 is not a wonder cartridge, but its best loads are getting close to 38 special territory which is not a bad place to be. The pocket lite itself is a pretty nice pistol.

They're great guns, but can have their quirks. The trigger pull can be awful and the slide stop can pop out unexpectedly, but otherwise they're fine. They're also one of the smallest .380's out there.

I have had one for several years and never had a problem with it through about 500rds of all types of ammunition , The size is perfect for concealed carry.

I've purchased several of the Mustangs, Mustang Pocketlites, Mustang II's, G'ment Model 380's over the past year and just love them. I choose to carry the II and the Pocketlite over the SiG P232, Walther PPK (a real one with no import stamps), and the Beretta 84, especially in the summer months. IF you really want one, you should by one now because the price keeps going up and up and up.

I like my nickel Gov. .380 so much I carry it almost every day. Bought another in stainless for "just in case." Careful buying a blued Mustang--some have soft slides and the slide stop sill chew them up. A symptom is that the slide will not lock back every time.
