How do you store and keep your AR-15 magazines handy?

She could do a short strip to go on the belt that has foldover covers like the bandoleer in the link; I agree the Pancho Villa thing would be a bit much, unless you created a SASS character around it.....

I have an MTM plastic ammo can with a foam insert on the bottom, and 15 loaded magazines plugged into holes cut for it. They stand up in the can, easy to grab and go.

I watched a youtube video yesterday on how to pack 7 bandoliers in a 50 caliber ammo can. I was somewhat impressed. 840 rounds on stripper clips and in pouches ready for use.

It is on the heavy side for grab-n-go or bug-out which is why I prefer 30 caliber cans. However as I am a bug-in person so it would be mainly for storage.

This discussion makes me realize I truly need a lot more ammunition. It sure disappears fast when filling ammo cans, magazines, stripper clips and pouches.

Stopped by a cluttered, bit run down military surplus store yesterday and picked up three new four pocket bandoliers with the loaders for my M193 on stripper clips. Since my 20 round magazines also fit I need to be making another trip there. I probably should just order a bunch off of the Internet.

The quest continues for more magazine storage ideas.
