I ordered some new grips, they are Pachmeyr Compac Pro, for my 3" HB round butt S&W model 65. Man are these grips tiny, they are hardly bigger than the grip frame. There is just enough room for me to get all my fingers on it, but no extra hanging out. These are extremely concealable, especially with an IWB holster. The only thing that I have to hide are these tiny grips, which is no problem at all. Anyone who says you can't conceal a K-frame is full of it. Try some!

I'm waiting for a pair of the Compac Pros myself. What kind of holster are you using?

I finally settled on the Pachmayr Compac Professional grip some years ago on my 2 1/2" and 3" S&W Model 66's.

You're exactly right, they're about as small as a grip can be that still fills in behind the trigger guard.

Being rubber, they offer a more secure grip than wood, and really help with recoil.

For short barreled "K" frame owners, I recommend trying a pair.

For me, the Compac Pro's are just a bit too small. I go with the "full-size" Compac, which is still pretty tiny. I also like the backstrap being covered when firing full-house Magnum loads.

I am using a bladetech IWB, but I am not happy with it because:
1. it is not leather, I think it is a crime to put a stainless or blued steel gun in kydex
2. it slides all around on my belt, kydex does not stay in place like leather does

I just ordered a leather IWB from AKJ Concealco, that should solve my problems

I agree on the concealability of the Compac Pro, they are pretty trim for sure. But for shooting comfort, the regular Compac model is much more comfortable and hand-filling. And they conceal nearly as well. Doesn't hurt to have them both and then choose whichever one is best for the task at hand! Here's my 3" 65 with the Compacs. "158 gr. Gold Dots comin' at cha!" :uhoh:
