How about over 6 months now. I posted months ago about my experience with Ford's to refinish a P7. First they took 3 months to refinish it in the WRONG finish....their goof up. I sent it back...they tell me they will get right on it....it's been over 3 more months now, after calling almost every week and being told....it should be ready this week....but...guess what? It never is. And they are very nice about it....but nice don't feed the bulldog:mad:

I have used Ford's before and never ran into this much confusion and incompetency ....do they work for Congress?

Besides venting and asking for input, I am providing info to others looking to refinish and considering Fords....they will do an excellent job...but it may not be in your life time.

Should I pull the plug on this and just tell them to send the gun back pronto and call my credit card that was charged on and request a charge back...what other options do you suggest....I have already talked to them like a dutch uncle....but they don't get it.

My Kimber was refinished with a high-polish nickel slide and high-polish bluing for $190 in 24 hours at our local shop.

Not sure what you have, or expect...

If that happened to me, I would wonder about the possibility of the refinisher having lost the pistol or some parts of it. How does a shop lose a gun? The same way that medical examiners lose bodies or funeral homes ship them out to the wrong place. It happens through human error.

You might ask Ford's to read to you the repair ticket, and then ask if it is attached to the pistol.

Ford"s has an excellent reputation.

If it was mine I would be raising unholy hate and discontent with them. A sled can be worn out from dragging and it was meant to be drug.
Enough is enough of anything and they have had it more than long enough to have made one from scratch.
