How many models of the R1 are there

Every time I go into a gun show or store it seems like there is another new model of Remington's R1 45 1911. The prices are also all over the place, anyone know what the story is with these guns. I just saw 10 of them in my LGS from 750-1000. I know the original 3 models they started with, but now it looks like a dozen guns are out
 
Shotgun approach to marketing -- throw up all you can and hope one hits. The 1911 market is pretty saturated. $750-1000 is trying to find a "sweet spot" above RIA and below SIG, Colt, Kimber S&W in price.

My Dad found one in the trunk of a rental car once in Namibia.
