How many of you buy guns online

i have never bought them online, however i do use the prices that i find online to haggle with the local dealer, the first thing the owner says is how much can you get it online for.

That's where I stand. I've bought some guns from other THR members here on the forum without having first handled/inspected them , but I have not bought from an online retailer. I would, but haven't as of yet.

I've purchased nearly half of my guns online. Never had a problem. Purchasing new guns from a dealer like Bud's is no risk. Purchasing from an online auction like Gunbroker or Auction Arms isn't risky if you only deal with members who have extensive positive feedback. The key is to know what it is you need before you go shopping. I think impulse buys would likely lead to regrets.

Shop locally

My local shop has good prices because it is a small town and they depend on repeat business. I like to help the local economy and help these guys maintain their paychecks in rough economic times. Unlike some areas we haven't seen the gun buying Obama surge around here so they need the sales, have good stock, and aren't gouging. I also like to have a local shop on my side if any problems ever present themselves. If the shop was rude and overpriced I'd feel differently. I have been to shops I wouldn't spend a nickel in, particularly those with rude employees. No excuse not to be polite if the customer is.

I'm about 50-50. I buy online and face to face.

by the time shipping and transfer is added to the price, I can do just as well locally and have the benefit of walking out with my purchase.

I buy almost all my guns online. Frankly, my local FFL is a ripoff on all modern guns, but they have cheap $20 transfers.

I get things hundreds of dollars cheaper online that I could at the store. I do buy milsurp from them, though.
