How many of you have grip sleeves

made a world of difference with the P238

I've got a P238...might try one on that one too, didn't even think about one on that gun for some reason.

JJE,
How do you like that Walther by the way? I'm very interested in a PPQm2 if I can ever find one.

I've used both the Hogue and Pachmayr finger bump sleeves on several guns. I especially like them on the polymer Kahrs as that grip is a bit small. I just like the firmer grip and comfort they offer. I see no change in accuracy.

I just took off a Hogue and am in the process of trying Traction grips on my PM9. They were very fairly priced and fit perfectly. The factory Kahr is just a bit smooth for my tastes. Many use Talon grips, but Traction grips are pretty much the same thing at half the price. I know they are working on something new for the Kahr P380. If you have one, you may want to contact them.

Wife's Kahr P380 has a Hogue Handall Jr on it, the rubber softens the aggressive checkering and the palm swell helps her accuracy.

I listened to Hickock45 and went with Talon grips on my PM9 and LCP. I like them better than Traction Grips, Hogue, etc..

I put a speigal grip sleeve on my 938 primarily to make the gun more comfortable against my skin. In lessens the rubbing irritation.

The only gun I use a slip-on grip is my Ruger P95- the polymer is very slick on my hands even when dry. The finger-grooves on the Gen 3 Glocks pretty much made such measures unnecessary for me.

I use them on the smaller pistols. They do enhance the grip and also help absorb some recoil. I have them on my LCP, Solo, and PM9... basically any 2 finger grip gun. I am considering putting them on my .44Mag revolver to help absorb some recoil and torque.

The trick to putting them on is to boil a small pot of water. Turn off the heat source and with a set of tongs, dip the grip sleeve into the water for 30 seconds to heat it up and loosen it up. Try not to touch the metal pot. Once you remove it you have about 30 seconds to get it up and over your grip or you have to do the process over again. Once it's on and it cools (about 2 minutes) it stays secure and conforms to your gun grip.

I use one on my Glock 20 -- I broke my thumb on my firing hand when I was 16, and it set imperfectly. The G20s and 21s (even the 20SF I have now) is chunky enough in the grip that on recoil it digs right where the bone isn't quite right with significant discomfort. The grip sleeve takes that discomfort down to about zero.
