Florida allows semi auto rifles. There are restrictions on caliber for deer, such as no .30 Carbine, and no .223 calibers.
Magazine cannot contain more than 5 rounds.
Utah allows semi auto, I think it's strange that PA dosn't. In Utah it must be a center fire cartrige to hunt big game. That was pa ,USA right? I find it odd that it dosn't bother you as well.
In Minnesota it doesn't look like any round restrictions, just calibers. In the area we hunt it's shotgun or handgun only. You hear strings of 5 rounds go off alot. I would like to get a Desert Eagle in 44mag and load it up with blanks, and when everyones sleeping at midday fire off the clip. Just to see what people would do.
No restrictions on semi auto hand or long guns. Just cal. restrictions. But regular deer season is restricted to shotgun, muzzleloader and bow. (You can only use a handgun in shotgun/muzzloader seasons but not bow) We just recently have been allowed to use rifles in a special antlerless only bonus season in the lower tier countys of the state.
In Oregon there is a 5 round capacity limit on semi autos, unless one is huting for Western gray squirrel. FMJ ammuntion is not allowed, nor are fully automatic weapons. I think this has more to do with poaching than anything.
