Hey im a new member and i am looking into buying a mouse sized gun. I have seen many different kinds but i dont know how much they cost. Please write back with amounts and details. Thank You- Mousegun

Hello and welcome. First some helpful hints. It is very difficult to answer very generic questions like this because there are too many variables. In the future try to narrow the question down by providing info like; new vrs. old, semi vrs. revolver, caliber, etc. Also the general handgun section would be a better place than the for sale section. The search function will help you get background information.

Now for the answer such as it is. For past or present "regular production" mouse guns I would say $50.00 - $1000.00 would be a good range. The ultra low range would cover very cheap imports that were common 15 or so years ago. The top end would be something like the Rohrbaugh where a full power cartridge is squeezed into a tiny frame.

For most practical applications $ 250 - $ 550 will cover the Kel-Tec and other small autos and a sample of J frame revolvers.

In a time long forgotten, I had a modest assortment of high QUALITY .25 Autos. Today all bets are off as times have changed. I now feel the quest ends with the Kel-Tec .32. Character? None. Best choice going at about 240.00 in My neighborhood.........Essex

The KelTec P32 was priced at $213 new this a.m. at the local gun show. The .380 was $229 new.

I just paid $299 out the door for a new Kel Tec P3AT. Might i add that it kicks ass and has had no malfunctions regardless of the ammo i send down the barrel.

Naah, that's like the Seiko Kinetic of pocket guns.

The Semmerling is the Rolex of mouseguns, with a pricetag to match...........

LWS 32 MSRP is only $425, and usually sell at around $375. There are plenty of them on the market now. Kel Tec and NAA have lessened the demand forces that drove the prices above MSRP.

The best on the market...most definitely.

The LWS .32 may be the best on the market, but its inability to feed ball ammo reliably sours me a bit. I'll take the NAA at just ever so slightly larger dimensions.

I agree with reading "Bobo's Comparison" thread stickied here :

My recommendation is the North American Arms Mini .22 revolvers.

Often referred to as NAA mini revolvers. http://www.naaminis.com/

My preference is the NAA .22 Long Rifle Mini-Revolver
http://www.naaminis.com/lrifle.html

These are built like a Swiss Watch, NOT dependent on magazines being a revolver of course, simple to use, and safe for carry as the hammer rests b/t rounds into a notch.

.22 long rifle ammo is less expensive and available anywhere, thus allowing one to shoot more to become better with the gun.

There is a .22 Magnum version, a very nice gun indeed, only problem is the gun is LOUD, and ammo more expensive, and harder to find.

IIRC last price I saw was ~ $175 on the .22 Long Rifle
Simple, affordable, ammo can be found anywhere.

I had good experiences with my P32 (1st gen, chromed slide, purchased in 2002). I currently use a S&W 37 and have sold the P32, but not because of any shortcomings, I simply prefer revolvers. If I were to buy another pocket pistol, it would either be the P3AT that didn't exist when I bought the P32 or I'd pony up the cash for a Rohrbaugh. Everything else is either too heavy for the caliber or too expensive for what it is.

Or I'll just stick with my 38special j-frame airweight. :)
