Stopped by my local WW this evening and they had Remington 9mm; boxes and boxes!

And then the clerk told me it was priced $30 a box...for practice ammo...for 50 rounds. He said it thinks it is a pricing error. I said "no ship", and walked away.

What the...?:fire:

Wow. That's crazy. I don't check new ammo prices anymore but that's simply amazing.

Even for boutique ammo the prices have gone to unreasonable levels. I recall one manufacturer I used to buy from started at $24.95/50 for performance loads. Now he's $37.95/50. Yikes.

When I stopped buying WWB at Walmart, it was about $21 per 100. I haven't checked the price in a while.

I load my own very close WWB approximation for about 11.50 per 100.

I've been getting some surplus from Dunhams for 13 bucks regular, 10 bucks on sale. Have not shot any yet though so I don't know how it shoots.

You should probably state the round count of the box. Last I checked at Wal-Mart (about a month ago) WWB was $20.97 + tax for 100 rounds and (I think) $10.97 + tax for 50.

Using Missouri Bullet "SmallBall" bullets and free range brass I can load 100 bullets for $11.76 (and that's after all taxes and shipping fees have been added in). So, 48% cheaper or roughly 1/2 price.

Average gun shop price in MA for 9mm has been about $16 for a while.

Occasionally you can get WW Blazer for $9.

However, prices at the gun shops for target 9mm has been dropping to $13 just in the past few weeks.

along with azar I can load 50 for around 6$ useing lead-heads (cast slugs) but my time is valuable also and I try to set things up so's to have a nephew or shooting buddy run the seat/crimp operation in the single-stage press I have mounted in tandem with my Chucker.
this way loading 2-300 goes fairly quick, after of course case prep, sizeing and primeing which I prime with the Lee hand primer.
Cabela's had 9mm 115gr ball PMC for 10.99 box/50 and 5$ shpg with a 150$ order so I bought some. cheaper than any price around here as it's around 15$ box/50 but I haven't been in WW lately it may have come down.

My 9mm load costs me 7.94/50. That's using free brass I just pick up at the range.

DITTO!!! I can load 9mm with commercial cast bullets for about $8.00 @ 100 or about $8.94 @ 100 with Montana Gold Jacketed Bullets
