How much is this Norinco SKS worth?

Probably $250 to $300. If you get it keep it stock. If you want to throw optics and other stuff on a rifle get a Saiga, they are cheaper and you can actually get scopes that work.

typically on a auction site they would sell $250 to maybe $350 though I see some dealers sit on them trying to get $400 or more.....

I don't have a SKS but eventually when I get around to it I would like a Norinco,a Russian and a Yugo and my SKS wants would be over with,and I wonder if there would even be any accuracy better over one or the other,probably not.
 
I love my SKS for doing some bump-firing! I have a Norinco as well, but mine was given to me new as a gift.

Mine has a siderail on it...looks like a 3/8" dovetail on the left side of the receiver, not like an AK mount rail. A small square is cut out of the stock around it, and it did come like that. Anyway, I have no idea what sort of mount is supposed to attach to it. I have asked everywhere. I would love to find it, because it is riveted there and solid.
 
I got one in similar shape for $200 not too long ago. It was gently used and well cared for.

For one that is NIB, still in the cosmoline, I'd be willing to go no higher than $300. For $300 you can get an unissued Yugo.
 
I bought one in the same condition (unfired) for $200 about a year ago. I think $250-300 is reasonable, but wouldn't pay more than that.
 
I'd buy it...if it were under $300.

In fact let me know if it's available and you don't want it.

i bet you will want more after you get those three. i thought the same thing after i got my russian, paratrooper and norinco, now i want a romanian, and a yugo.

to answer the question, only buy it if it is under 250. you can almost get a brand new yugo for that money!!!

i think you have an sks cowboys companion. that gun is worth some money! never get rid of it and take care of it.
