Im thinking of sending one of my 1911’s out for a trigger lightening and have no clue what a fair price would be. The gun is a Springfield Range Officer Champion 9mm and has a pretty good trigger, but I’d like it to be better. I’d like it around 3.25-3.5# and as good as ones I read about all the time that others are judged by. :) what should I expect to pay for a quality job?

Briley price list says $125
Cylinder and Slide offers trigger job for $170
Terry Tussey charges $199

I assume you should add to those prices shipping? Possibly in both directions? I only checked Briley. They say shipping and taxes are extra.
I'm fortunate to have an excellent 1911 gunsmith in the immediate area and I live in a small town. If I were you, I'd check locally first. If there are competitive shooting matches and/or organizations (USPSA, etc.) near you, ask who works on their competition 1911s. 1911 trigger jobs are not rocket science, but you don't want Bubba doing the work either.
