Heard this morning on 880 AM out of NYC that there was a really successful gun "buy back" in Trento, NJ.

Whether you agree with a gun "buy back" is a matter of politics which I do not want to discuss.

What was insulting is that the buy back was touted as not "costing anything" because the money was from a fund whose source was forfeited property confiscated during drug busts.

Do thay really theek we r that stoopid?

If the government uses money it costs the taxpayers no matter where it is spent or where it is from.

They think that we are really stupid. Why do I say that? It is because we keep voting in the same people over and over again. Want change get the gun banners out of there.:)

They do not think we are stupid, they think we won't do anything about it.

What are you going to do? Join the NRA, contribute to NRA-ILA, contribute to and vote for pro gun politicians? etc, etc,

Don't just fuss and talk about how useless the proposed anti gun bills are, and how "dumb" (They are not) you think the politicians pushing it are, do something about it.

Politicians think the voters are stupid, and they are right. How else could you explain how Illinois voters keep electing Democrats who have put them into the worst debt situation in the country (other than possibly California)? Also here in Illinois we had a state senator get caught red handed accepting a bribe, was arrested and is facing trial, and the voters RE-ELECTED him! The ignorance and short memory span of most voters is almost unbelievable. This can be proved by nothing less than the RE-ELECTION of Obama.

Vito, here is an example of stuuuupid:

Several years back, US Congressman (Ohio) Jim Trafficant went to 'Club Fed' for a couple of years. While he was a guest of Club Fed, he got enough write-in votes to win re-election.

Couldn't go in to the office, since he was not an Ohio resident at that time.

Politicians think the voters are stupid, and they are right.

Some are stupid - look what we got running the country. Truthfully, I think its more of a matter of people not remembering specifics when they go to the poles and voting for what they think will benefit them as an individual VS what benefits the country.

Right now gun owners are concerned and doing something. The 2014 elections are two years away. Politicians know that the likelihood of people staying passionate about a current issue in significant numbers is a long shot.

If the house goes Democrat in 2014 - you will see a repeat of the Obamacare "yes we can." Next time it will be the 2nd Amendment.

Hhmmm....Of course THEY think we're stupid.

A little girl that was supposed to have been murdered with an evil BLACK GUN in the reported massacre up north shows up & BO's lap, and most of us don't even pick up on it?

The Mainstream Media's initial reports that the shooter used up to 4 hand guns, but NO AR---and we forget about what we heard?

The initial reports that the only rifle found on the premises was taken from the suspects car, after it was surrounded by AR-Carrying LEO's---and we forget about it?

The State Police hold up an Evil Black Rifle & try to pass it off as the shooter's weapon, when the weapon was clearly identified by the configuration of the trigger/trigger-guard as a S&W Model that's sold exclusively to SWAT PD's (i.e., other than a few that are sent to the MP's)---and most of us supposed gun-peole don't notice?

Of course they think we're stupid! [I'm starting to think that, as well.]--Patrice

LMAO! Yeah, drug money from foreitures. That came from the wonderfully successful and economical WAR ON DRUGS. For every dollar of forfeiture they log, it takes 10,000$ in law enforcement garb and manpower to extract it. Anything that comes from drug prohibition has cost us blood, money and liberty.
