I have been reading threads about AWBs, panic buying, "were all screwed, give up something so we don't lose everything" ect....for over a week now. I have read every kind of response imaginable in these threads, and out of all of them, the best advice given is to quit panicking and take political action. I couldn't agree more with these level headed individuals, but I have yet to see any thread in the general discussion section about just how to take political action.

There are some in the activism section, But I feel as though we need one here, and quite possibly in some of the other high volume sections as well, not everyone visits all the sections of the forums, and this stuff needs to be as visible as possible. I am not talking about just any old support the NRA, or contact your congress men, I mean hold your hand, and guide you through it all super kind of thread. One that has links to all the polls, the websites for contacting these people and there administrations, how to do it in your particular congressional district, who are your senators, and so on. Put it all here so people can easily find it and know what to do.

I am asking for every ones help in this, and in the spirit of not bogging down this thread with unnecessary posts people have to wade through, please don't post things like "good idea" or "going to contact them now!" and such.Please just keep it current information on how to take action, and perhaps what to say to the political leaders. If you have nothing relevant to add, please don't.

I have decided to start researching and posting as much as I can find here, starting with the politicians contact info. Don't be lazy, do your part; this is me doing mine.

Until I get more of these posted, here are some great resources that make it easy to contact them;
Click to contact your senators here and many of them can be contacted through the internet.

This is a complete list of all the US Representatives listed by state alphabetically. There are far to many of them to post here, but this page is very comprehensive and easy to follow.

This also has LOTS of good links to contact all our politicians HERE.

continuing to work on this through the holidays, but the next couple days will be rather busy for me.

Tell your representative and senators NO. NO NEW GUN CONTROL, PERIOD. Ask them not to support any legislation, and explain how you can't vote for someone who limits your constitutional rights. NO.

This isn't a "gun violence" issue. This is a total failure to stop the mentally ill from harming themselves and others. If we need to have a debate about effective treatment for the mentally ill, then so be it. But no new gun control!

This thread is so much more constructive than many on this site!
Here is a link to a list of pro-gun organizations.

Join as many as you can!

Contact your Representatives and Senators.

Heck! contact the various News Organizations and tell them what a lousy job they are doing!

Okay, that last was probably useless.

But it beats supporting the gun banners by bashing the NRA and other pro-gun groups like so many on the THR forum are doing!

Boxer and Feinstein are locked down, closed minded and listen to no one with positions opposite their own. They will not budge and have never hinted they would in decades. We're doomed here in California.
