    In LA... pointing a "gun" around that looks like it has a suppressor on the end.... good way to get shot.

    I like/regularly read THG, too.

    I'm imagining this being a predecessor to other "small arms" in electronic warfare. And no, I'm not sure that I'm just kidding. :uhoh:

    The idea is that it allows you to read the presence of bluetooth devices (and I believe get information from them) at ranges exceeding a mile. Using two devices would allow you to triangulate position.

    Basically it takes advantage of the fact that people are emitting a lot more data than they think they are. The guys are idiots for making the device look like a weapon though.
