I just got a Marlin firearms 81TS ,22 rifle from my relative .
I usually use semi-auto .22 rifle , so this one made me headache . the tubuler magazine always jams the ammo. While I opened the extractor, there was always one round hold in the barrel, ( it should be jumped out while opening the bolt, but it wasn't ) , but the next round already jumped up , so that two bullets jammed in there, I had to pour all the bullets out , then used pliers to pull out the jammed bullet. I try to put a little bit oil to the barrel, but no help. hopeful get some help here.

Thanks.

Your description is of what we call the extractor. The thing that pulls the spent case out of the barrels chamber. It pulls a live round out too if you’ve chosen not to fire it.

that piece is a common item to need repair in many firearms and is easily replaced or repaired.

It can be as simple as, cleaning the chamber of the gun thoroughly, if its dirty. Someone may have fired a lot of shorts in it and it has a carbon ring that causes LR cases to be hard to extract for example.

It could be a dirty extractor causing the extractor to malfunction.

It could be an extractor hook that is rounded and not sharp. Thus allowing the rim to slip out from under the hook. That could be repaired likely by careful sharpening of the extractor hook. Or replacing it.

My advice is to start by thoroughly cleaning the rifle. That includes getting in the chamber and scrubbing it with a good solvent. Next above the extractor was mentioned. Extractors are spring loaded and when not cleaned or maintained tend to fill with crud and fail to extract spent rounds or live rounds. This is a good parts source for your rifle. Your rifle should be similar to the illustrated parts breakdown. I would completely scrub the bolt with a good gun cleaning solvent for starters. That means carefully disassemble the bolt assembly and wash it down and then reassemble and lightly oil with a quality gun oil..

I just pull out the extractor, cleaned everything includes barrel , but the problem was still there, I did every thing at home not in range , I haven't shoot this gun, I don't know it will be different at range? is an empty shell easy to pop out ? thanks.

This gun performed well in the shooting range, and the bullets rarely jammed. It seems that the home test is very different from the shooting range. thanks。
