hello,

Track of the Wolf sell some liners for that purpose.

My Hawken pistol has a 6 " barrel 0.45 cal but the bore is ruined.
Would it be possible that I bore it to 11/16 (the barrel is oversized and would fits the 0.58 cal so there would be sufficient metal left) and insert a 0.50 cal liner from TOW?

Would someone have experience about it ?

Thanks

There's a guy who rebores BP barrels, but I seem to have misplaced his contact information. IMHO that would be a better option. Shoot me an e-mail and I'll see if I can find his info.

The gentleman I was thinking of is:

His work is reasonably priced and highly recommended.

Hey I was checking on a similar question and a guy told me to check at brownells.com,they have some there that you can either epoxy in or solder in.It looks like you can get a free video with it too,to show you how to do it.Good luck.

I know there is a good blacksmith in swiss that made barrel lininig and all the customize for sporting rifle!
A friend fo mine will send him a barrell of a Douvaisine (or a similar name) made by Artax but in .40 with a incorrect rate of twist!
The cost for it is around 250 euro including the right mold for the bullet!
Really it didn't "send" the barrel it give the barrel to a guy that will go in swiss personally to customize a target muzzleloader!
All are player in italian muzzleloader championship (me too, but whit low results:fire:)
After all i think that the advice of sobstitute all the barrel in your case is better!
Who made your hand cannon??
ciao
Rusty
