a. Guns do not have a life of their own. People are the ones that commit actions

b. Knives, stones, vehicles, blunt objects, a persons own hands, and many other objects can also be used to kill.


c. Guns (or more precisely, people with guns) also save live. In fact, guns are used to save lives far more frequently than they are used to kill innocent people.

d. In line with the reason above, firearms also insure we retain our rights and help discourage the emergence of a tyrannical government.


e. Some animals (including the human kind) NEED to be killed.

a. Ok, people must eat to survive. Without meat that leave only vegetables. According to the same biological definition of life that applies to non-human animal, vegetables are also “living” in the sense that they are composed of living cells.

b. Humans are not the only animals that feed of the meat of other animals. When I see a lion, a tiger or a bear go to the local grocery store and buy a head of garden salad then I’ll reconsider my life as a meat eater.


c. Many biologists attribute the evolution of the human brain and the very development of consciousness to the protein received from meat over the span of human existence.

a. Wow, that is just one of the most ridiculous things I have heard. So should we kill all priests because a few molested kids? Should we kill all female teachers because a few had sex with male students? Should we kill all politicians because one drove a girl into a body of water and to her death?

b. There is absolutely, positively, NO evidence to support a claim that gun ownership has any correlation what so ever to gun violence.

c. All this quoted statement is is an illogical straw man argument. Pro-gunners use the fact that it is people who kill, not guns that kill, to argue that it is people who have used guns illegally that should be punished not gun.

Can't prove anything but I would suspect our pontificator would look friendly upon if not be part of the radical environmental movement. You know, those who think humans are a curse and that the best course of action is planetary wide kill off of humans. :scrutiny:

you know what i've found really pisses off those pushy over-opinionated types? (be it anti's or anyone else)

look straight at them, cock your head slightly, blink 3 times slowly, BARELY shake your head once, whistle low under your breath, and turn and walk away. it drives them absolutely crazy. :)
 
In my experience, if you get a lot of ANTIS cranked up, they will let slip the fact that they really would like to put 80 million gun owners into gulags, so they can be killed off.

And they'll still piously proclaim how they "CARE" about other people, and are pacifists.

Why even bother debating people who openly admit they want you murdered?

The only upside is if you do it for an audience of fence-sitters, so they can witness the madness.

Something to think about:
Even those idiots who scream meat is murder, and throw red ink on people wearing fur coats, never bother to consider what leather in their shoes is made of, or hang out around biker bars throwing red ink on 1%-er jackets. Although I would like to see the ones stupid enough to try.

Humans are omnivores, possessing dentiture and digestive organs capable of processing fruit, cereals & grains, limited green vegetation, and meat. This is by design, and the characteristics cannot be overlooked. Thus demonstrating, humans are designed to eat meat. IMHO, as long as we eat it anyway, why not use the fur to make a coat or the skin to make boots?

It is our modern life that does not require strife, death, and slaughter daily that allows people like that to leap to those silly conclusions. Could you imagine a band of Cro-Magnons or other prehistoric peoples that talked like that? LOL....killing is wrong!!! They would be called- extinct!
