My Grandmothers cellar smelled like fuel oil and cracked corn for the pigs. Sorta fuel oil slop!

Every time I smell kerosine or say jet fuel, I go back to Roanoke, VA circa 1962!

Now as far as smelly powder, um lay down a line and light it up! Now try another powder, if you have it, and see if it reacts the same! Dunno how scientific this is but it looks and smells kinda cool!;)

be safe

Thank you sauer1911 ! You crack me up! When I get off work I'm going lay down a line and light it up! Not my Hp38,don't have enough but i can use some Varget!

Snorting powder has several side affects you need to be aware of:

It will cause you to disappear for several days at a time, locked in your reloading room to where your family wants to get you help!

It will cause you great financial burden of buying more reloading supplies to feed this addiction!

It can cause you to end up with an ammo bunker somewhere in your house.

I've worked out a plan to treat this addiction and it should start immediately.

The first part of treating this addiction is to send me all your reloading components and in 3months I call you to see how your doing.

Titegroup, you don't snort smokeless powder. You mix it in with your dip.:what:

I use to prefer skoal longcut wintergreen, it held the powder real good.;)

Nah just kidding, I gave up all tobacco 7/7/07!

Still like a little powder show though.:)

be safe

LOL.

1K, I cant find Slide Glide anywhere in town. Any big boxes have it? That's what the Sig fellow recommended I lube my p238 with.
Amazon sells it, Brian Enos sells it, Brownells sells it.

I have never used it, actually; for my pistols (and occasionally rifles) I've been using Lubriplate SFL-0, and EX-2 and EX-2B from http://www.lubrikit.com/

Good stuff, love the applicator syringes.

On my Garands/M1A/M1 Carbines (as well as my ARs) I've been running the red high-temp wheel bearing grease from wally world or other auto parts store. Works fine.

Thanks 1K.

Man, a good syringe can really help a brother out. i had an awesome one that I got from my dentist. The end of it curved, and tapered into a perfectly tiny hole for the lube to exit. My wife threw it away.:banghead: Said she couldn't find the plunger part (which I had).

They should make some scratch-and-sniff cards for different types of powder, both when they're showroom-fresh and when they've been out of their prime for too long...
