HS2000 parts

I have an HS2000 in 9mm. It's my understanding that there was some type of manufacturer / importer conflict, and the pistol is now sold by Springfield Armory under the "XD" series. The guns look basically the same, except for the new logo molded in the frame, and different stamping on the slide.

What I'm wondering is if the internals are the same parts. My HS is an excellent gun, but I'd like to get replacement parts from SA if I needed them. I think the extractor was "beefed up" when SA took over, and I'd like to know if it would fit, as well as the other parts.

SA is honoring HS2000 warranty issues.

The beefed up extrator came in the Gen 3 HS2K IIRC. It fits as do all the other internals. SA is honoring the lifetime Warranty of the HS2K just as on the XD.

Springfield will honor the warranty but you will have to pay shipping both ways. I put an extractor in my HS 2000 because it would of cost me twice as much to pay the shipping both ways and have springfield do the work. I have a 3rd generation HS and it didn't come with the beefed up extractor but the one I got from springfield was.
