Ran across a guy trying to sell a large lot of gear and supplies. Worked out a trade pretty favorable my way. I would have given more but I gave all I had that he was interested in...and still got a screaming deal. So far I know I have the following...but there's a whole bunch still to sort through....for 5 boxes of 30-30 and 2 bulk packs of 22lr.

4 pounds of powder, all still sealed
2 open cans of powder
At least 6 die sets, lee rcbs, lyman
A coffee can full of "various dies"
2 complete RCBS uniflow measures,
2000+ 9mm brass
500-700 various bullets looking like either 9mm or 38cal.
Lyman tumbler
20 pounds of walnut media
Modern Reloading book
At least 1000 38spl and 357 mag (combined)
Lee hand prime
2 sets of hand prime shell holders,
an rcbs hammer type bullet puller
Mtm loading block
Digital scale
A coffee can full of various lee dippers
20 pounds of #6 shot
Lots of shotgun hulls and wads.

You're not kidding....a screaming deal it is. Wow!

His original post says he traded 5 boxes of 30-30 and 2 22LR bulk packs, and that's why it's such a fantabulous deal.

NICE score:)

I might be leary of the reloaded pistol ammo and open powder.
I would probably pull the ammo if it wasn't new ammo and toss the open powder but still a great deal for 2 bills.

I ran into a similar steal last week. Mine included 8k new starline, 8k once fired brass, 11k bullets 11k primers, 8lb powder and a ton of other equipment. Mine was quite a bit more $ than yours though. Bought everything for 35 cents on the dollar. Half of it i either dont need or already have. That half of stuff im selling to pay for the other half i want/need. Lots of cool new toys, tools and gadgets on the bench this week.

About a year ago, I got a screaming ammo deal. A stranger learned thru a friend I shoot alot. He brought me about 100 pounds of various ammo of all kinds....free.:D

That old GI Army footlocker the stuff is in is worth half the asking price!!

Did you get it too??

Very nice score! :D

I experienced a score somewhat like that long ago.

In the latter half of the '70s a neighbor was having money problems and, before he moved out, offered me a couple of boxes of his reloading gear; RCBS single stage press, Ohaus Du-O-Measure, Lyman Lubri-Sizer 450, Lyman D-7 beam scale, RCBS die sets for .223, .308. .38/.357, 9mm, .45acp, and lots of cases, bullets and reloading accessories/tools.

All he wanted was $50. :what:

I'm sure that I could have talked him down, but I couldn't bring myself to do that, knowing his situation ... and he was such a nice guy, y'know?

But I was still very happy with the deal. ;)

If either of you guys have an extra 38 special sizing die you'd like to get rid of, please let me know.

ETA: Both AWESOME deals!!

Cool, thanks.

BTW, these are the kind of deals I NEVER seem to come across. Must not have the mojo!

This guy reminds me a lot of myself. I unfortunately get into "Impulse" hobbies every now and then and when the fun wears off I dump the lot at ridiculously low prices jut to get it out of the way and make room for the next hobby. I would rather see someone get a good deal that needs and will use the items than have it laying around gathering dust in a storage room/basement.
