Hunting ammo for SKS

My friend hunts boar with an SKS. I am considering getting him some 7.62x39 ammo as a present for his upcoming birthday. I have no experience with the SKS... does anyone have any ammo recommendations?

154grn wolf is good as are 125grn Barnual SP's

forget rem,win or federal as it's underloaded & overpriced garbage

Anything soft point would be appropriate. My brother in law uses an SKS occasionally for hunting deer and uses soft points with no issues.
