How's the hunting in Nebraska?

I presume there's a lot of upland bird hunting, and I've seen some hunting videos with decent whitetail & mule deer.

Can non-residents hunt pronghorn?

Any other big game?

Thanks...

Firearm antelope permits are restriced to Nebraska residents. Archery permits are possible. There's plenty of both whitetail and mule deer in the state, come harvest a couple! Whitetails throughout the state, mulies are confined to approximately the western half of the state.

An issue is how little public access hunting ground there is available. Use the link I'll provide to the Game & Parks Commission for some links to available spots.

Upland game is available, but farming practices the past generation or two have eliminated far too much of the cover necessary for bumper bird crops. I don't wish to discourage bird hunting, just remind you you'll need to do a little research to locate some decent hunting ground.

Turkeys have become extremely numerous, come harvest a tom! If I can be of further service, post or PM me. Good luck!

Every christmas I travel to KC Missouri to see the family. We then travel about 2 hours to Rulo Nebraska, a town of about 200 right outside of FalseCity.

We hunt both quail and pheasant, but recenltly we havent seen as many pheasant as we used to. But then again there's always the Dakotas for that.

Mule Deer

Every year my old boss and I go on a mule deer hunt up in the Pine Ridge area of Nebraska. Very bueatful country up in those parts. I have only been shut out once in the last 12 years. Non resident permits are not hard to come by. Cost you 191 bucks. I just applyed for mine last week. We hunt on private land...but public land is not hard to find.

Use to do lots of upland game unting in the SE part of Nebraska growing up. Very good pheasnts and guail in that area.

Good luck in you quest.
