a few weeks ago i purchased a smith and wesson rifle ( .243) bolt action made by husqvarna AB in sweeden
i bought it outside at a gun show from an old man and his wife, the man was in a wheelchair and couldn't talk real well, but his wife said he had had it for 30 years, this is a model B rifle and i didn't pay very much for it at all,
i was just curious about any information on the rifle and or the company.
my uncle has a smith 1500 rifle but this gun i have is a lot nicer the wood is in excellent condition and it was accurate at 150 yds without a scope i only shot it five times and decided not to adjust anything all of the holes were within an inch to an inch and a half and i did not really use a good rest just leaned up against a tree
so if anyone has any info please let me know, thanks--

These were commercial guns, not military reworks as far as I know. Very decent guns usually, they have been a popular manufacturer in Europe for many years. I think Sarco Inc. has a bunch of them listed in their online catalog.

Husky S&W

I had a Husky .270 Win imported by Interarms in the late 70's. A good shooter with a great classic look. I enjoyed the gun from many years, My brother lusted after it for years before I broke down and sold to him. He still hunts every year with it. The same company that makes Husqvarna chain-saws made these rifles.

I have a Model B S&W badged Husqvarna in .308. Imported in the 68-70 time frame and not to be confused with any re-worked mauser or later imported S&W labled Howa that were imported a couple of years later. You got a good'un. I would love to see a pic.
