That's the problem with the whiteman--no imagination. Did the Indians (I hate using Native Americans) camp in the snow? Not if they didn't have to. You go into the mountians in the summer to keep cool, and down in the valley during winters to avoid the heat. Trappers--man were thay hard up for money.

You may have a point, but the Trappers & Injuns didn't have a Department of Natural Resources telling them when, where, and how many critters they could take.
 
Not true Victor. Indians live just about anywhere in Northamerica. In fact the Chippewa chased the Souix out of Northern Minnesota for mainly the wildrice.
They routinely raided each others villages. Ever hear of Canada?
 
Yea Victor not every place in North America has mountains. You are correct if you speak of the Utes and other dwellers of the Rockies but d2 has a point, the Indians up north didn't go to Mesa and Sun City in the winter.
 
dang, what part of iowa are you hunting? im down here in the south east corner of iowa and we never got near that much snow!
