Practicing the "shoot and scoot" method I see. :D

It's good to see a few parents still teach firearms safety.

You should be proud. As a young man/child myself (14) i think its very necessary to learn about guns at a young age. I didn't. Never thought a kid would look cute with a rifle, but he pulls it off

preciate the comment winston

plus i think it is extremely important if you as an adult/parent are going to have guns of yer own in the house and you have children then the responsible thing is to teach them how to be responsible, and safe with them also.

I was 6 when I shot my first BB gun. 8 when I first shot a .22lr.

Didn't get my first gun until I was 25. Never bought a gun because the only one I wanted to shoot was my Dad's .22 bolt action. (Same .22 I shot at 8 yrs...) It was my Dad's first gun and my first gun.

Guess I should have a kid so I'll have someone to give it to. Heck, to do that, I rekon I'll need to get a woman, too. :scrutiny: Maybe I'll just give it to my nephew one day....

Exactly Blue. Children who don't know anything about firearms have a much higher chance of injuring themself or someone else.

bluecowdawg-

That has officially become my favorite picture on THR.

Why? Because, if you'll excuse me a diva moment, the children are our future. And if we can instill in them the appreciation of the freedom and the rights...ah hell I can't think of the words right now.

But I really can't wait to have kids.

This year for sure.

he's not road hunting, is he?

:D

Regards,
Rabbit.

Good cute pic, and glad to see some folks starting out the little ones properly.

My first Daisy air rifle was a Red Ryder that was left in the attic of a house we moved into when I was about 7. Don't know what ever happened to the Red Ryder....but on a positive note, got a new Red Ryder last Christmas as a "gag gift" from wife. Along with the caution "Don't shoot your eye out, Ralphie."

p.s. I shoot the Red Ryder in the basement when I can't get to the range.

Cool pic,

I bought my 11 year old daughter a Powerline 880 for her b'day.(when did they start making BB's out of steel?) She asked for one and she loves it. She 'let me' shoot it. The sights are cool, they show on Blue's pic. Teach 'em young.
