In 2 months, on May 20th I will be buying at least 1, hopefully 2 new pistols. I can't wait (I have to, darn federal law) so I am thinking about maybe getting a new rifle to hold me over until then. Prolly an SKS or .22lr. The rifle would mean I'd definitely only be getting one new pistol in may though. What would y'all do? get the rifle to hold me over, or wait the 2 LOOONG months until I can buy a pistol?

Right now I have a mossberg 12 guage, a browning t-bolt .22lr, and a savage 30-30. The full size pistol I want to buy will serve as a range gun for target practice and a HD gun. The second pistol would be a Kel-tec p11 or p32 for conceal carry when I finally get my CHL. The more I think about it, the more I think one pistol in May would be a good idea so i can get a holster, case, etc... and take care of it properly.

If you buy Mosin Nagants...

you probably will be able to pick up more than two with the money allocated for the pistols.....Pick up a copy of Shotgun News and look what is out there......chris3

You don’t need another .22 rifle if you have a Browning T-bolt. It’s one of the best .22s ever made IMHO.
The “stuff†that goes along with a carry gun – extra magazines, leather, dies and components, etc. can easily equal the cost of another handgun, so your plan of buying just one makes sense to me.
Congratulations on your impending birthday.

The MN is great fun and cheap blast. Mine always turns heads at the range. If you just have to have a new toy that would be a good one to add and wouldn't cut into your budget too much for the handguns.

what maddock said. Remember even the Army issues extra mags for handguns - if you're carrying concealed always figure at least two spare mags...you may not need them both but if you drop one...and remember you don't want to keep more than 50 percent of your mags loaded at any given time (I don't care that the manufactureres claim their springs wont take a set), so you need twice as many as you think you do.

Thanks for all the responses so far...Haven't decided what I'm gonna do yet, maybe if I can keep from deciding for two months I won't have a problem any longer ;)
