I broke down...

Welcome to the sickness! I'm bought 2 presses and then switched to buying powder, primers, brass, projectiles, and such in large quantities.
I'm officially a component hoarder. I started 3 years ago at the height of the panic, and I now have enough components to make many many years worth of ammo. I will never buy another factory loaded round unless its rimfire. I'm an addict I think.

Reloading plus Casting bullets all in one jump?

Sir, you got the BUG bad!:D

Yep, I saw the mold handles and figured " that's going into the deep end with weights on your ankles"..... :D

You're going to have lots of questions I'm sure. Just take each part of the learning one step at a time and read a couple of books on reloading.

Congrats on getting started with the reloading addiction. And that Classic Cast press from Lee is an excellent beginning. It is the only single stage press you will ever need. (Chances are there will be other presses to follow.) I've lost track of how many thousands of rounds of ammo I've loaded on my Lee gear over the last three decades and it is all still going strong.

Welcome aboard. This is a very enjoyable hobby buy if you get caught up in all the "new and better" tools it will be a money pit. Sad to say, I like new tools lol.

You bought a good press that will outlast you. Well done.

Congrats and welcome to the sickness!

I've been tempted to try molding as well... Resisting so far!

What caliber are you casting? Let us know how it goes and i'll follow along!

GL!

Wow and bullet mold in there too. This man goes all in!! Congratulations. Don't be afraid to ask questions and I hope you have a Lee reloading manual in there. Read it a couple times before you get with it and you will do fine.

The Boy's got spunk.

You will look back at this day and think "only a couple hundred dollars"

Actually, at this point it's not too late turn back. Tomorrow you will be too far gone. Don't say we didn't warn you.

Don't forget the most important thing, Reloading Manuals !
If you are going to shoot cast, Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook 4 th Edition should have been in that box. The Lee is OK but the Lyman books, 3 rd and 4th Editions have so much more information, and you want other printed sources for cross checking . No one book can have everything.
At least three or four is best.

If my wife ever knew what kind of $$$ I have wrapped up in this hobby, I'd have a lot more spare time on my hands
that's a two way street...i don't want to know how much my wife spends on purses (aka "handbags") and shiny rocks (aka "jewelry").

i'm just happy i've got her conditioned to ask, "what gun am I buying you?" when my birthday is around the corner

Grats - I have incredible will power - bought 1 dillon in 1996 and still have 1 - the wife however, is not wanting me to buy another - go figure ;)
