you know, i have that exact same problem, in reverse. my wife always puts a big dog bed right in the way of our safe so i have to move a dog to open it.

I wish my safe were that full. :(

Maybe she's trying to tell you something. :neener:

Taliv, you know you have a problem when the dog's there to keep you from opening the safe, rather than trying to keep you from closing it :uhoh:

I don't think anything will ever gat ripped off in that house of yours.
D@mn dog protects your guns better than some I know. Some dogs you might as well hang directions as to where the gun are located. :)

My M28 was lieing on my bed. I was checking the bore and working the action (Because it is fun). The M44 and M39 are what you see in the safe, haha.

If anyone sees this dog, they'd probably think twice about coming in to see what they can take. He wouldn't hurt a fly (ok I take that back, he snaps at them), but he lets me know when something's going on outside.

That looks exactly like the safe I have:D. Mines not as full though.

Is that a Saiga conversion I see in there?

Made me look :(

And I though it would be because it was overflowing with guns :)

I have to be careful the cats are out of mine before I close the door.

--wally.

There must be an air conditioner vent nearby. Arguably, having that reason for not being able to close the safe is almost as good as it being due to too many guns to fit! :)

Nah, both the safe AND the dog are too small!

No A/C Vent nearby! That's in the hallway. He just loves that part of the house. He was napping in it again today.

.22, PM me if you have questions about my Saiga conversion.

I'll say that the safe is small and cheap, but it's what I could afford and it's bolted into the wall. It'll fend off most attacks, albeit fire or something like that. As soon as I can get a 3-5k safe, I'll be sure to jump onto that. But right now the little 400 dollars safe works for me.

And I will say that the dog is huge. 90 pounds, which is unheard of for its breed. Maybe 60. 70 would be large. This one just got a bit bigger. And it's only 19 months old!

My dog has a tendency to sleep right in the middle of the hall, right where you walk and trip over him in the middle of the night.

And I bet he's even less of a protector than yours...I had a friend stay at my house one night and get in really late so I left the back door open for him. The dog didn't even wake up.

He's also the only Labrador Retriever I've ever seen who doesn't retrieve.

Not sure why, but he's still my best buddy.

Hey! You have almost the same safe I do! You seem to have better guns, though. I like the Finn and especially the Saiga conversion.

I had a Great Pyrenees, which is about the same size as your dog. ''Bear'' was a massive, 90 lb white furball. :D I had to put him down, though. :(

I can't get to my safes OR reloading bench!!

I almost fell off my chair when I saw your dog, I must have a clone of the same breed, German Wirehair, mine was only chocolate in litter of 10, from Minnesota to Wisconsin, never heard of another one around here, nice gun safe, probably don't need it with the dog if he's like mine.
