I Don't Even Know What To Say To This "Hunter"...

ive got some good misses posted on you tube but if your gonna hit something and let it flop around you shouldnt post it.... a good hunter wouldnt let that happen even though its just a varmint

I am having a hard time feeling bad for a squirrel, however I never see the need to post any hunt on You tube regardless of the outcome. The only thing that ever comes of it is a massive load of responses condemning the attitude. I fear that some of those responding were not anti hunting to begin, but because they saw some video that only shows the kill they quickly make a harsh judgement against it.

Most looked like pretty good shots. The last was probably low. All animals spasm once shot. More pronounced in small game especially after a head shot. Only lasts a few seconds. From the comment responses, looks like he harvests them for the table.

Grubbylabs, good point.

do any of you hunt? that is typical of squirrel hunting.. they always flop like that.. have any of you shot a deer through the heart with an arrow and had it run around and buck like a bronco? bunch whiny liberals is what this sounds like. Death is not pretty. stop trying to make it pretty. If you guys are under the impression that every animal "drifts off to sleep" when it's killed then you need to get out and hunt more. shoot a coyote, even with a vital shot they flip around and howl... seriously, this guy did a decent job, and just so you know THEY ARE JUST ANIMALS!

Yes, I squirrel hunt. More challenging than deer. But I wait until I can take a good, clean shot. He should be knocking the eyeballs out of them at 40 yards -- he states his rifle is 'scoped!

It just doesn't appear that he's even hitting the upper 1/3 of the body!

And the rest of his vids...

I'm just having a lot of trouble being impressed.

In that vid above, he says that he only hunts 10 acres, so he has trouble recovering a lot of deer he shoots!

well he is probably a moron, i didn't take time to listen to his hunting philosophies. but the squirrel video wasn't that big of a deal, I didn't even see a anything that warranted this thread.. some animals die fast, some die slow.. I hunt a lot of different critters, and this whole politically correct... crap, about guaranteeing a quick ethical kill is stupid. As a hunter I don't want to chase a game animal, mainly cause I'm lazy and that is a big pain in the ---. So I strive to put animals down as quick as possible. I'm not cruel and would prefer no animal ever suffered. However it is a fact of hunting. I shot one deer last year that bucked once and dropped instantly the other required a follow up shot.. it's hunting, and hunting = death, death can never be garanteed to be fast. I've seen deer run with an arrow sticking out of their heart, you can't get a better shot, but it just doesn't always kill quick...

and just on a side note had a coyote, or wild cat caught up with that squirrel, the death would have been far longer and more painful.. nature is far more cruel than a well intentioned hunter..

If you ever hunted birds with a shotgun you know that they often need to be "finished" off. Unless you are such a good wingshot that you can put one of the pellets through the bird's central nervous system.

If cruel is to be banned from hunting, then using shotguns for birds is banned.
