At least I still like the more classic looking Mossbergs.

I am starting to hate Mossberg on principle now though.

Sweeeeeeeeeeeeeeettttttt:barf:
The brake on some of the AK's that looks like a tube cut at a 45 degree angle might work. I'd like to try it on an extended choke tube. Just have to index it right.

There is nothing that I don't like about that shotgun. If it had a bipod and a flashlight, it would make an even better boat anchor.

I tried one similar to the brake shown above. IMO it did not reduce the recoil.

I had the barrel ported on my Mossberg 500 Persuader, no noticable reduction in recoil but reduced barrel rise, but was not worth the cost.

I was at Gander Mountain last night; they had one of these on display. The clerk was telling a customer all the advantages of having a Road Sweeper home defense shotgun with a muzzle brake of this type. Such ridiculous BS is not even worth repeating, but I have to repeat one; “it reduces the muzzle flash in the dark and allows you to take another shot“.

Similar to Saiga's 12 Assault Shotgun w/ claw brake.

Matter of fact I looked at the Moss today @ a local shop it is heaver on the end but not ported like the saiga. It would leave a bad wound to the face if you smacked someone with it but other than that it doesn't seem to me that it would work for a brake.

that is about as dumb as purple fur grips on a 50 DE with tigerstripe gold plating...
i have the 'breaching' model with the standoff on the end of the barrel , its works exactly as advertised...
'tackytikool' isn't , 'KISS' is...

I have a 12 ga Mossberg Persuader with a rear pistol grip. In an effort to reduce recoil I had the barrel ported with no noticeable reduction in recoil but it did reduce barrel rise somewhat but not enough to offset the cost of the porting job.. I guess the best would be to put a butt stock on it with a recoil pad or live with what the typical shotgun is known for.

the only thing i did to my 500P was install the buttstock and throw the PG back in the box...

I haven't seen one inperson, but it makes the hole in the end of the barrel look bigger, then that is why it's there...to intimidate bad guys...and selll more shotguns of course.

I've seen them here on the internet but not in person yet. Kind of wondering what will happen to the first person I meet that owns one of these things. Will I manage to keep a civil tongue or just up and laugh in his face and call him a poser wanna-be?
