I can just imagine how those guys felt when they had the beach head, and the paratroops were still behind enemy lines, waiting for resupply. Well, the drop has been recovered! I have been waiting since January for a bullet order, and I now have 6000 .45's and 6000 9mm's! That should hold me for the duration of this "enemy occupation". I think I'm going to go find a nice French girl to celebrate with (although I don't have too many on my block.......):D

Actually, they were delivered by freight to another guy's house, and my brother and I split two separate orders with him. There were 28K 9mm in this order (the .45's came last month...haven't got to loading them yet). I think the other guy is a commercial reloader.

We want more pics and a full review of how it works out for ya!

Just to be clear and were all on the same page, I'm talking about the French girl:D

I would give anything to have an opportunity to shoot enough to justify that kind of purchase!

Good shooting.

What, no one has complained that you're cornering the market yet? Looks like a fun fall in store for you. Good score. Now, about that French girl......

Reminds me of the day we flapped out of Japan for SE Asia parts unknown. Spent a day and night loading ammo on ships from on the beach. No small arms stuff.

I second Bobson; where did you order from?

I've got a (much smaller) January order from Penn still pending. You might give me some hope.

I know how you feel (almost, anyway). This week I just received 5k 22LR Aguilia Target from an order I had in with CMP since about January. I had been down to my last brick or two of .22 but now I have more than enough for my needs through the foreseeable future. I actually shoot more center fire than .22, but so far I have not figured out how to reload rimfire:)

I learned a lot the LAST time there was a big scare, under the Clinton admin. Primers got in short supply. Anyway, two winters ago, I started a plan to load every bullet I had, and then got on a kick to load every casing that I had (that still hasn't happened, as I keep picking up leftover brass at the range:D). I even had the six thousand .45 cases all primed, sized, and expanded, waiting for bullets (which it took some time to save up for, and a longer time to wait for delivery, due to this NEWER panic). Now, the bullets are here, and I am so busy at my job, I can't find time to load. To answer the question, though, I had 4-thousand 9mm loaded, and never slowed down on my shooting, as I take a 9mm one day, a 10mm another, .380, to the range etc. Since January, I have probably fired 300-500 a month on average, all guns and calibers combined, and I do not blast: I'm 60 years old, a seasoned rifle and pistol shooter, and pretty much get annoyed if I miss the target (ALWAYS my fault!:D). For many years I didn't own a 9mm, but now I find that they give me great pleasure; more boom than .22, and less expensive than .44's or .45's, which I still shoot, just not as much. Also, the vast variety of 9mm pistols makes for an appreciation of designs and challenges that each pistol presents. Sometimes it's trigger pulls, or sights, or how to handle and hold the individual weapon. I like the challenge of being proficient with different guns. If I had not stored up on primers, though, my shooting would have been a lot less. Can't do SQUAT without primers. Now I hear powder is in shorter supply, but so far I am o.k. on that. LEARN from all this, folks. Wait for the madness to die down, then pack away primers, then powder, then bullets, for the NEXT big consumer shortage.
